From organic coconut plantations, our coconut sugar is produced from the sap of the flowers of the "tree of life", as it is known in Asia. Traditionally harvested by cutting the inflorescences, the sap is slowly heated and then transformed into a naturally gluten-free, potassium-rich sugar. Its distinctive brown colour is the result of the cooking process, which also gives it its pronounced caramel taste.
Unrefined, coconut sugar has exceptional nutritional qualities, such as its low glycaemic index and high potassium content, an essential nutrient that contributes to normal nervous system function, normal muscle function and normal blood pressure. Coconut sugar allows you to indulge in tasty and unique recipes without fear of overindulgence.
For many years, we have been sourcing directly from producers in South East Asia to ensure the consistent quality of our products. As we select quality ingredients from distant origins, we have decided to set up a carbon contribution process where the purchase of credits allows us to finance projects that limit or avoid a similar amount of CO2 emissions. The final packaging of the products is carried out in France, near our home in Provence, in specialised workshops.
